Goodwood History
Goodwood racecourse is located 70 miles (112 km) from London. The grass runway has a total development of approximately 3,200 meters (2 miles) and has a very particular and unique form.
The straight track measuring 1,200 meters (6 fur-longs) and has traveled to his right hand side. Only for the races of 3800 meters (2 miles and 3 fur-longs) and 4200 meters (2 miles 5 furlongs), the distance of the track in both directions is in the straight section. The most important race held on this race track is the Good-wood Cup (4200 m) whose first edition dates back to 1812.
